Super easy recipe for homemade butter and buttermilk.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Heavy Cream 1/8 Teaspoon Salt (optional)
Put mixing bowl and wisk in freezer for 15 minutes. Leave heavy cream out for 20 minutes. Mix on medium until cream thickens to a soft peak whipped cream. Continue mixing on medium-high until solids separates from liquid. Now you have fresh butter and buttermilk. Be sure to drain and rinse the butter until the water is clear, this will remove the excess buttermilk. Yummy!
Makes about 6 ounces of butter and 1 cup of buttermilk.
