Air Fryer Cabbage

Cabbage steaks are a great alternative to traditional meat dishes. They’re full of nutrients, low in calories, and high in flavor. So, give your cabbage a bit of crunch with our yummy air fryer cabbage steak recipe. Cooked until fork tender with crispy edges. No overdone mushy texture or smelly cabbage odor.

Cabbage Steak air fryer

Ingredients:
1 Cabbage Steak Slice (1 inch thick)
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper (optional)
Garlic Powder (optional

Directions:
Set your air fryer to the “air fry” setting 375°F–400°F (about 190°C–200°C).
Place the cabbage steak on the air fryer tray. Be sure that the cabbage fits leaving a little room around the edges, if too large your cabbage will steam instead of roast. The goal is a fork tender center with crispy edges.

Cabbage Steak Olive Oil

Pour or brush on olive oil. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Cook for 20-25 minutes, turning with silicon tongs halfway through cooking time, until edges are golden brown and center is fork-tender.

Crispy Cooking Tips:
Be sure to dry your cabbage steak, after cleaning, soaking, and rinsing.
Brushing on olive oil ensures that your cabbage steak is fully coated.

Note: Some say do not use aerosol cooking sprays in the air fryer basket, as it may cause damage to the coating.
