During prehistoric times rivers and oceans were used as a form of a bath. We have come a long way since those days. My personal favorite is a clawfoot tub, they are beautiful. Growing up we had a cast iron free standing tub, I loved bubble baths in that tub. Haven’t found a place yet that has anything remotely close to it. Best part is everyone can enjoy a great soak. Whether hot or warm a bubble bath can help reduce stress, relax your muscles, clear congestion and some studies have found that it could help improve your heart. One study found that the warm water can relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Another study found that immersing in the bath water could help by increasing blood flow to your heart and other parts of the body. Study or no study they feel great, especially after a hard day. You can even use them as a mini getaway.
Do be careful though with bubble bath products like bath oils, soaps, bubble bath liquids, and salts. Some have experienced slip and falls, others have experienced skin irritations.
Let’s be sure to safely celebrate this self-care event (like we need a reason to enjoy a bubble bath).
Please note: those with serious heart issues or chest pain (angina) or high (or low) blood pressure should consult their doctor prior to indulging.
