Pan Cooked Marinated Salmon

Plated Marin Filet

On one of the hottest days of summer and I wanted salmon, but I didn’t want to turn on that oven. So I decided that pan cooking was my best option in this heat. Then I remembered that I had just purchased my favorite big box store marinated wild alaskan salmon. Yay! Now I could have easily gone for the olive, butter, and fresh lemon (perfect on any day), but today I wanted a bit more flavor. So I decided on the marinated wild alaskan salmon. Since it is already in a marinade half the work is done, that’s my secret. Just love easy and flavorful meal options.

Pan Cooked Salmon

Ingredients:
2 Marinated Salmon Fillets
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Seafood Seasoning (optional)
Frozen Spinach
2 Cups Cooked Rice

Rinse and debone your salmon fillets, if needed. Pat dry. Drizzle fry pan with olive oil. Heat pan on medium-low. Place your salmon filet in your hot fry pan, skin side down. Sprinkle filet with a bit of seafood seasoning (optional). Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side for an one inch thick filet. For a thicker filet cook for an additional minute or two on each side. Recommended internal temperature is about 145 F, for well done. Some prefer a lower internal temperature. Leave to rest about 5 to 7 mins. Cook your frozen spinach according to the manufacturer instructions on the package. Add your favorite rice. Really like the flavor combo of salmon, spinach, and basmati rice. Makes 2 servings.

Pair with a glass of white wine. Enjoy.
